Issues and challenges

Using digital and digitization to grow
As the fourth largest player in the temporary-employment market with nearly €2 billion in turnover in 2018, Proman is a 100% independent, family-owned French company. Founded in 1990, it has experienced strong growth, essentially organic, but also driven by international acquisitions. The company is continuing to grow and aims to become one of the global leaders for temporary work. To support this growth, Proman wants to invest in IT, digital and digitization projects to keep pace with the technological developments in the market.

The location of the Manosque site no longer enabled it to meet its strategic goals of growth, digitization and reliability of services provided to agencies, customers and temporary workers. Supported by Orange Business experts, Proman chose to overhaul its IT infrastructure and outsource the hosting of its servers and virtual desktops in the Orange data centers.

"Orange was able to guide us through the various stages of our growth. Our contacts were always very attentive and responsive. They advised us so that we could make the right decisions at the right time. The outsourcing of our servers was a major undertaking for us, both culturally, letting go of our servers to put them in dedicated spaces, and technically."

Roland Gomez, CEO, Proman

Solutions

A hyperconverged private cloud infrastructure with a business continuity plan
The chosen solution (Flexible Workspace Integration) outsources the server rooms hosted at Proman in two Orange data centers offering two active mirrored sites. Proman has thus moved from a business recovery plan (BRC) to a business continuity plan (BCP), preventing any risk of IT service outages.

The network connectivity has also been strengthened (Business Internet, Business Ethernet, Business VPN) so that the agencies can access the business applications hosted in the Orange data centers seamlessly and securely.

Desktop virtualization
With over 100 new employees joining every year, it is essential to be able to deploy desktops on a just-in-time basis. The new user profiles are created directly in the central IT system by assigning to them the applications they will need for their daily work. They then access their work environment using their login details. This also facilitates software and operating system updates for the desktops.

Benefits

Orange expertise supports the company’s growth and digital transformation challenges

Improved user experience and greater productivity
The agencies and sales representatives have an IT system that provides them with the necessary agility to meet customer demands in real time. They access their work environment and their applications securely. The sales representatives can work remotely from anywhere, using any computer they like. The IT department can deploy desktops more quickly and more efficiently.

Flexibility, availability and security of the IT infrastructure
The scalability of the solution guarantees Proman’s ability to grow and secures its business. It also makes it possible to develop the applications required for its digital transformation to better serve its customers, employees and temporary workers.

With this hyperconverged infrastructure, based on Nutanix technology, Proman can quickly and more easily manage its network of agencies without requiring a significant investment. Every year, Proman manages the creation and relocation of around twenty agencies.

"Thanks to its ease of use, this new infrastructure has made it possible for us to rapidly deploy new projects. In addition, it offers maximum reliability, which is very important as we are growing fast."

Virginie Roger, CIO, Proman

Support for every part of the project: connectivity, workstations, cloud, security
By choosing to host its information system on new architectures and technologies, Proman was able to rely on Orange expertise and benefit from the transfer of skills. Proman is supported by an Orange project manager, their single point of contact, who coordinates all the various stakeholders to provide comprehensive support: system, virtualization, network and security.
