A modern infrastructure that supports continuous service quality
BIGO Technology is growing fast due to its emphasis on creator-driven ecosystems and features like AI-powered virtual avatars. A modern infrastructure supporting continuous service quality is pivotal to retaining and developing global audiences.
A trusted partnership with Orange Business has enabled BIGO Technology to modernize their infrastructure.
BIGO Technology modernizes its infrastructure to enhance agility
BIGO Technology has modernized its infrastructure to handle its growth and enhance its services for users.
By leveraging the Internet for SMS transmissions, traditional mobile carrier charges are bypassed, significantly reducing costs for bulk messaging. Bigo Technology uses SMS to keep in touch with customers and, more recently, has introduced one-time passcodes for support issues. They are very secure because they are only available for a short period.
All services are covered via an overarching Master Service Agreement (MSA) for efficiency, clarity, and adaptability. It provides a clear framework for all future projects or services and reduces the need to renegotiate terms each time a new project arises.
A robust infrastructure for reliable connectivity
Orange Business has also provided the installation and configuration services for BIGO Technology’s Internet Data Centers (IDCs), including servers, storage systems, and networking equipment to support Internet-based services at locations in the US, Germany, Malaysia, and Singapore.
The IDCs enable BIGO Technology to scale its infrastructure up or down based on demand, accommodating growth.
With IDCs distributed across regions, BIGO Technology can deploy its services closer to end-users, reducing latency and improving user experiences.
Supporting sustainable practices
As part of its IT modernization BIGO Technology had thousands of servers to decommission. Orange Business set up an asset recovery services program to reclaim value from retired and obsolete hardware.
Server asset recovery services are an essential part of IT lifecycle management. They combine financial, environmental, and operational benefits while ensuring secure and compliant handling of retired hardware.
By leveraging asset recovery services, BIGO Technology is enhancing its sustainability profile, contributing to environmental conservation, and achieving financial benefits—all while ensuring responsible end-of-life management for its technological assets.
Driving support efficiency and sustainability
Through its various approaches, Orange Business has enabled BIGO Technologies to streamline operations, improve user satisfaction, and uphold its commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
