Replacing an outdated telephony solution that has expired

For purchases, sales, or inquiries related to listings, a real estate agency needs to be easily reachable by its customers and partners. In this sector, fixed telephony is an essential tool, especially for a network as large as Human Immobilier, which has 560 agencies in France. Modernizing the solution by migrating to the cloud without disrupting business operations was the challenge.

"Our first point of contact with our customers is via fixed-line telephony, which is important to us," confirms Marc-Antoine Gohier, Technical Manager at Human Immobilier. "Our old fixed telephony solution was coming to an end, and we had a deadline." This necessitated considering a migration to the cloud.

Taking advantage of Cisco's Workplace Together Webex features without changing the existing phone fleet

Human Immobilier has been a long-time customer of Orange Business and Cisco. In facing this new challenge, the company naturally turns to this duo of partners to carry out its cloud telephony migration project. "It is essential that we have a reliable, secure, and lasting solution. Hence the choice of Orange Business and Cisco," explains Fabrice Lo-Cascio, Chief Information Officer at Human Immobilier.

Human Immobilier has subscribed to 2,300 Workplace Together Webex licenses, Cisco's cloud solution with numerous advantages. It includes advanced business telephony features such as call forwarding, team and individual messaging, call redirection, a "do not disturb" function, and more. It also features an interactive voice server, call grouping, and queue management. Additionally, the solution facilitates collaborative work and the organization of video conferences.

Beyond enabling new usage and providing unprecedented comfort for users, Webex has allowed real estate agencies to retain most of their existing fixed phone fleet. This is a significant consideration both financially and in terms of corporate social responsibility (CSR).

A solution designed to meet the needs of Human Immobilier, along with ‘Project Management’ for optimal support of the teams

Lacking the necessary technical skills, Human Immobilier sought assistance to design its ideal solution and deploy it following a rigorous methodology. A project manager coordinated all the steps, ensured business continuity, and handled risk management. The migration reporting was also entrusted to this project manager.

To ensure the success of its future deployments, Human Immobilier chose ‘Project Management’ from Orange Business. The goal is to provide peace of mind to teams during deployments and migrations to new solutions.

"With ‘Project Management’, we had top-notch project management!" assures Marc-Antoine Gohier, Technical Manager. "Orange Business provided us with expertise, monitoring, a framework, and solutions throughout the migration."

Prior to this, Orange Business experts were also very attentive in building a tailored solution. "The main advantage of working with Orange Business was having access to numerous engineers who conducted POCs (Proof of Concept) and were able to create mock-ups so that everything met our needs," adds Fabrice Lo-Cascio.

An additional benefit for Human Immobilier was a remote deployment that limited the costs and logistics associated with the project. "Everything happened remotely, the workstations were automatically recognized, and everything was plug and play. That was magic!" enthuses the CIO.

The administration of the telephony solution has never been easier

The migration was seamless for users, with no service interruptions required. "Most employees didn't even notice that we changed our telephony solution," notes the CIO. They are now discovering Webex's new features.

However, the difference is significant for the technical teams at Human Immobilier since the migration. "Now that the implementation is complete, administration is easy, and I don't have to do anything on-site. For me, it's all positive!" emphasizes Marc-Antoine Gohier. There is clearly a before and after Webex.
