Ontex, a market leader in hygienic disposable products, chose Orange Business for global enterprise unified communications (UC) and voice services based on Microsoft® Lync® 2013 to increase its group integration and collaboration. The solution will enhance the productivity of more than 1,100 users worldwide across 25 sites in 10 countries, including: Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Turkey, U.K., Australia and Russia.
Since the acquisition of Artsana Süd SpA, an Artsana division in Italy and the relocation of its headquarters within Belgium, Ontex has been upgrading its workplaces for more than 5000 employees worldwide. In addition, employees have the possibility to work from home and flexible hours are permitted. This transition demands robust unified communications and voice services on every level within the Ontex organization.
new way of working – a collaborative workspace
To meet these demands, Ontex selected Business Together Microsoft Managed UC from Orange Business, based in the Orange datacenter. With this option, Orange Business provides Ontex with a hosted Lync solution to further simplify its adoption of UC technologies by providing a managed solution on a pay-by-user basis. In addition to adding UC services, Ontex renewed its existing WAN services for three years.
