India’s IT/ITES companies: Being successful in a time of disruption

While the Indian Information Technology (IT) and IT Enabled Services (ITES) industry has long been a key enabler in meeting the technology needs of companies around the globe, economic and geopolitical factors like uncertainties around H1B visas to service U.S. clients and increased threats of protectionism have prompted a slowdown in the industry. Disruptive technologies have ironically contributed to this too, with automation playing a growing role in affecting how many human workers are needed to perform tasks.

This paper examines what IT/ITES companies can do to not just survive but succeed and thrive in the midst of these uncertainties and disruptions.
