Statistics suggest that, on average, we spend three years of our lives driving our cars. Most of this time is completely unproductive,  the need to concentrate on the road means doing anything else apart from making voice calls is impossible - and often illegal!

delegated driving or autonomous cars are coming to our rescue

Autopilot is coming to cars, within a decade cars will be driving themselves. I saw that at LeWeb'13 on the Renault stand. It's not difficult to see how this will liberate us. Stuck in a slow moving traffic? Then hand control to the car and sit back and answer some emails. Back on a twisty country road? Then take control and enjoy the drive!
