Following the creation of Orange Business’s Defense & Security division and the launch of Orange Drone 360, the acquisition of Obvios’s assets strengthens Orange’s offering for critical infrastructure operators and underscores its strategic plan “Trust the future”, which positions innovation as a growth engine. In today’s demanding geopolitical context, Orange is expanding its capabilities to deliver sovereign private 5G solutions that address security, operational control and business continuity.
Dome expands private 5G network for defense and critical infrastructure
This secure, easily deployable private 5G core enables organizations to build and operate their own mobile networks independently, complementing public telecom infrastructure. Designed for critical environments, the solution delivers low latency, high resilience, full operational control and sovereign deployment.
The solution is designed for field operations and critical infrastructure sectors, including defense, civil security, energy, transportation, and emergency services. By combining high bandwidth, edge computing, and secure connectivity, Dome facilitates real-time operations, secure information sharing and resilient communications.
Target use cases include drone and autonomous system operations, connectivity for military bases, deployable tactical networks in remote or contested areas, surveillance systems at ports and airports, and real-time monitoring of critical infrastructure.
