Orange Business & Equinix: resilient path to cloud operations

Orange Business can now extend its network-as-a-service model directly into the Equinix ecosystem. This means customers can connect Orange Business Networks to physical or virtual infrastructure hosted at Equinix through private, high-availability connectivity, provisioned through Evolution Platform.

This provides a more direct, controlled and resilient way to connect users, applications, data and partner ecosystems, without relying on public internet or slow manual provisioning.It also gives enterprises more flexibility over where workloads and data are placed, while helping them control how traffic moves between sites, colocation, cloud and sovereign environments.

The partnership combines Orange Business’ global network and Evolution Platform with Equinix’s global colocation footprint, Equinix Fabric and dense digital ecosystem. With over 50 SDN-enabled Orange ‘SuperPops’ deployed close to Equinix locations, customers can access a more programmable, automated and high-performance connectivity model.

This is helping enterprises connect the dots between cloud flexibility, private network reliability and the performance benefits of proximity to critical digital infrastructure.

On-Demand Cloud Connect with Equinix integrates Evolution Platform with Equinix Fabric. Here, Orange Business provides a global, software-defined interconnection platform that allows various automated and virtual services to seamlessly bridge together.

This creates a private, software-defined interconnection model between Orange customers' networks and infrastructure hosted in Equinix, removing the complexities of hybrid cloud management. Instead of treating network connectivity as a static, manual build, customers can provision and adjust connections through a digital interface and APIs. This helps them scale bandwidth, connect new environments and support changing workload requirements more quickly.
Rigid manual configurations are replaced with a programmable cloud-native experience that keeps sensitive data under local jurisdiction while providing a high-speed compute route for modern workloads.

At its core is Evolution Platform, which allows enterprises to compose, deploy and manage connectivity, cloud access and security services through a centralized portal or API, with automation built into ordering, provisioning and service management. Customers can choose the level of control they need, from self-service provisioning to managed operations.
