Orange receives One Eaton Supplier Premier Award from Eaton for mobile connectivity

Eaton, a global intelligent power management company, has recognized Orange as a premier supplier of mobile connectivity during its annual One Eaton Supplier Premier Awards Program. Eaton created its One Eaton Supplier Premier Award Program in 2006 to recognize the vital role their suppliers play in supporting the company’s businesses and in serving their global customer base.

Eaton has sourced its European mobile connectivity services from the FreeMove Alliance since 2015. Orange, as lead operator, provides Eaton with a single point of contact for Eaton’s mobile connectivity services in 12 countries across Europe (Austria, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Spain, Turkey, UK and Italy), which are delivered by Alliance members Orange, Deutsche Telekom, Telia Company and TIM, and partners BT, Turkcell and Megafon.

Patrick de Trez, Head of International Mobility Services at Orange Business and Orange representative on the FreeMove Management Board, commented, “It is a distinct honor to receive this award from Eaton, which we humbly accept on behalf of Orange as well as all of our FreeMove colleagues, who have contributed to ensuring that Eaton has received the best multi-country mobile services since 2015. This is testimony to the power of the FreeMove Alliance, and we will continue to work hard to ensure that we uphold our mission to address the international mobile communications needs of large organizations with our simplified approach to contracting, service delivery and client management.”

Eaton’s mission is to improve the quality of life and the environment through the use of power management technologies and services. The company provides sustainable solutions that help its customers effectively manage electrical, hydraulic and mechanical power – more safely, more efficiently and more reliably. Eaton’s 2020 revenues were $17.9 billion, and it sells products to customers in more than 175 countries.

Formed in 2003, the FreeMove Alliance brings together four leading mobile operators – Orange, Telecom Italia, Deutsche Telekom and Telia Company – to serve multinationals who have multi-country mobile connectivity service needs. The FreeMove Alliance member footprint is further strengthened by a network of FreeMove partners that includes top-tier operators SwissCom, BT, Eir, NOS, OTE, Turkcell and the Bridge Alliance, Asia Pacific’s leading mobile alliance.
