Haier Europe wanted to migrate to a platform that supported its cloud, connectivity and security aspirations built around a unified management model.

Considering Haier Europe’s needs and pain points, Orange Business created a plan built on the Evolution Platform framework. At its core is the orchestration of three foundational building blocks: cloud, connectivity and cybersecurity.

Evolution Platform combines Orange Business global cloud connectivity and embedded cybersecurity capabilities to support every step of Haier’s transformation journey. The technology combines the cloud-like experience of network-as-a-service with an open ecosystem that enables Haier to access solutions that best satisfy its business needs, all backed by performance-focused SLAs. The platform’s innovative modular approach allows the customer to chain services through a self-service portal or an API to become the premier consumer choice for smart, connected home offerings.

The Orange Business on-demand cloud connectivity solution extends networking to multiple clouds, thanks to its on-net link to SD-WAN gateways, thus creating a unique network comprising offices, HQs, factories, on-premise DCs and cloud regions.

The initial deployment includes Flexible SD-WAN with a Fortinet overlay. This provides the multinational with agile, scalable and secure networking foundations with simplified processes.

Zero Trust capabilities are provided to 5,000 users via Zscaler’s protection suite to support a modern hybrid way of working. An Orange Cyberdefense expert is on hand to advise on policy implementations. Zero Trust forms part of SASE, which is a key part of the multinational’s overarching strategy. SASE essentially converges multiple virtualized networking and security features into one unified and easy-to-consume cloud service.

The combination of cloud-based centralized policy management and the local enforcement of identity-driven access services brings many benefits for IoT users, which is central to Haier Europe’s connected strategy, like security at the edge and reduced complexity.

Last but not the least, the solution is supervised via Live Action’s LiveSP, a network performance monitoring dashboard for enhanced network control via granular visibility.
