With a global workforce of 82,000, Capgemini is one of the world’s leading service
providers of management and IT consulting, technology and outsourcing, advising
customers on the development and implementation of growth strategies and the implementation
of new technologies.
Willehad Klaverkamp, principal consultant at Capgemini Outsourcing Central Europe,
said: "We were looking for a single service provider for our global communication
needs. We operate at both the local level to cover country-specific requirements
and internationally to deliver services from one source around the globe. We also
require an extremely flexible network to enable new customers to be connected
with ease."
Orange Business Services was chosen by Capgemini based on its previous experience;
global network reach; high level of security; service quality; account team competency;
local support; and an attractive value for money. Capgemini benefits from a flexible,
global IP VPN focused on its region-specific business aims, featuring DSL and
supporting a variety of service levels. To ensure that new customers can easily
be integrated into the existing network, Orange creates sub-VPNs for Capgemini
for each customer, reducing expenses for network services and administration.
"Capgemini is a very satisfied, long-time outsourcing customer of the France
Telecom Group," said Dr. Helmut Reisinger, senior vice president, Europe, Orange
Business Services. "Capgemini placed a great deal of trust in us on this deal.
Our customized communication services and excellent geographical coverage based
on our own infrastructure and personnel means that Capgemini can offer the same
uniform, high quality services in all its countries."
