Orange Business Services has been awarded a new contract from the Government Offices of Sweden to supply global communication infrastructure to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and its approximately 100 embassies and consulates around the world. The four-year contract is valued at 13 million euros.
The Government Offices of Sweden was looking for a single provider for the global communication requirements of Sweden’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Orange Business Services was chosen to provide an international IP VPN solution supporting the Ministry’s data communications needs. Key factors in the selection included global network coverage, high level of security, quality of service, local support, a competitive service level agreement and cost-effectiveness.

Orange Business Services has just signed a very important contract with the French government to supply a network meeting the highest level of security requirements. This new contract is another example of Orange Business Services’ strong position as a global provider of communication services for governmental organizations, foreign ministries and governmental offices. Orange Business Services already serves the Foreign Affairs Ministries in Finland, Germany and Norway as well as the European Union among others.
The Government Offices of Sweden is the formal contract partner for the communication services needs of the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs. Equant Sweden AB is the formal contract partner for the communication services provided under the Orange Business Services banner.
