The CO 2 savings tools enable you to rapidly estimate the potential savings in green house gas emissions by implementing an Orange Telepresence solution or Business Everywhere solution in your organization. In the case of Telepresence, carbon emissions of face-to-face meetings are compared to a scenario where they are replaced by telepresence meetings. In the case of Business Everywhere, carbon emissions of office working are compared to a teleworking scenario.

Carbon emissions are estimated for the complete lifecycle of each scenario, from cradle to grave, based on the Lifecycle Analysis methodology, and are estimated for all processes and elements that make up the scenario.

For example, for telepresence-enabled meetings, we do not only estimate the CO 2 emissions for the electricity consumption, but also those related to the manufacturing, shipping, installation and recycling of all equipments, including screens, servers and furniture. We also include the CO 2emissions produced by the MPLS network that connects the different sites.
