Siemens AG has signed a five-year, 80 million euro MPLS-based IP VPN contract with Orange Business Services to migrate a large portion of its worldwide network to Orange, its new trusted partner. Orange Business Services is now designing and migrating 1,100-site Siemens Wide Area Network (WAN) across 70 countries in Africa, Asia, Southwest Europe and North & Latin America.

€160 million, 7-year ICT deal connects 7,000 employees in 20-plus sites

Orange Business Services signed a €160 million, 7-year outsourcing agreement with Numonyx, a leading flash memory provider, to implement and manage a significant part of its information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure.

Launched March 31, Numonyx is the result of the merger of the non-volatile Flash memory activities of Intel and STMicroelectronics and is headquartered in Switzerland.

Cisco and Orange Business Services announced today that the two companies have embarked on a major network upgrade project to improve and extend Orange Business Services’ international Internet Protocol virtual private network (IP VPN).

The project will help Orange Business Services bring new advanced services to multinational organizations on a global basis, expanding its portfolio of innovative collaboration solutions that combine voice, data and video to include Cisco Unified Communications and Cisco TelePresence for virtual ‘in-person’ meetings.
