[Infographic] when sleep is not so easy... how is telehealth helping patients?
Sleep apnea is a largely undiagnosed illness, yet 10% of people worldwide suffer from it!
During sleep, patients experience pauses in their breathing. These pauses can last 10 seconds to several minutes and may occur 5 to 30 times or more an hour… it is easy to imagine health consequences of these and on top of this the patients’ exhaustion due to restless nights!
CPAP treatment can lower the risks for patients but adherence is key. Telehealth can help them.
