Maintaining public service in spite of the health crisis
The solution was installed within 48 hours, and officials and citizens were able to continue holding meetings remotely. This included management committees and project management for public works around the municipality, which were able to restart after lockdown was eased. After this successful test, the City Hall decided to buy licenses for its councilors and officials, as well as make changes to its working methods by continuing to hold some meetings remotely, even after lockdown was ended.
With the Mayor, we were looking for a platform that would allow us to continue to hold our meetings (...) we wanted something very reliable and efficient (...) The Orange Business Services teams naturally guided us towards the Cisco Webex solution.
Nicolas De Angelis, Deputy Managing Director of Services, Herblay-sur-Seine
Collaborating remotely using a professional platform
Thanks to Cisco Webex Meetings, all city councilors were able to successfully perform their duties. No outages or errors were reported during their meetings. They were even able to switch from one meeting to another, saving time by eliminating the need for travel, which is also beneficial for the environment. They are also more flexible, as they can now organize their meetings at times that suit them from any location.
An intuitive tool accessible to all
The Herblay-sur-Seine City Hall has made this secure, well-known tool available to its citizens. It’s an easy-to-use platform for everyone, meaning no long, complex training is required. For instance, senior citizens were able to easily get to grips with Cisco Webex Meetings during their sophrology classes. This has helped maintain ties with the public, as the tool is compatible with all devices (computers, tablets, smartphones, equipped meeting rooms, etc.).
