Orange Business Services, the international service provider, has finished an infrastructure project to modernize a data center for Vostochnaya Technika, the authorized Caterpillar, Sullair and Metso Minerals dealer in Western and Eastern Siberia, Yakutia and the northern part of the Russian Far East.
Vostochnaya Technika offers the entire product range of Caterpillar, the globally known manufacturer of mining, quarry, construction and road building equipment. The growing needs of the company required an upgrade to the current data center infrastructure. The task of modernizing the data center was entrusted to Orange, which has been a reliable partner for several years. Orange designed and installed the utilities – a conditioning system, general and uninterrupted power supply and the like. Experts from Orange conducted thorough testing of the data center’s systems and gradually transferred its IT-infrastructure to a new platform.
The data center is now fully functional, facilitating continuous and reliable operation of all Vostochnaya Technika systems. At the company’s request Orange now provides full-time technical support.
"Modernizing the data center helped us improve the way all company systems work. It has facilitated nonstop server operation and an increased fault tolerance of company systems. It also stands to mention that experts from Orange successfully addressed a number of technical and organizational issues which arose during the project. We are grateful to Orange for their coordinated and skillful performance and we look forward to further cooperation", said Tatiana Chesnova, IT Manager at Vostochnaya Technika.
"We employ best global practices to provide solutions to our customers. Within this project we modernized a data center, applying our experience and expertise. The data center meets all the current requirements for fault tolerance and subsequent scaling", explained Evgeniy Fomenko, Chief Representative of Orange Business Services in Novosibirsk.
