More than 100 branches of Bank Otkrytie in 40 Russian cities were connected by Orange Business Services in the two-level IP VPN network capable of providing a high security level for the corporate infrastructure.
Active growth of any company will sooner or later necessitate the reorganization of the supportive infrastructure, without which further business scaling would not be possible. Cooperation between Orange and Bank Otkrytie has always been fruitful, and the high quality of the implemented VPN network project is yet another example of the partner's high competence.
issues and challenges
The dynamic 2012 growth of the bank demanded the consolidation of telecom infrastructure to reduce the number of providers and total network operational costs. The detailed research favored Orange, as it was an operator offering an efficient network layout with the technical capability to connect the bank branches in all the regions of its activities.
The two-level VPN network connected the bank's territorial branches with the regional centers and the latter with the headquarters in Moscow. The implemented scheme maximized communication quality for the most frequently used data transfer directions, optimizing the network's organizational and maintenance costs.
The future plans of both companies, which have been working together since 2003, are to reorganize voice communication infrastructure in the regional bank branches as well as some other telecom projects.
Bank Otkrytie is a universal commercial bank offering to its clients a traditional range of banking services as well as investment, pension and insurance services. It merged four banks under the single Okritie brand and as a result ranks among the Top 30 Russian banks by assets.
