Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Europe signs contract for office LAN deployment
Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Europe (SMBCE) has awarded a £1.6 million contract to Orange Business Services to design and implement a Local Area Network (LAN). The deal follows the bank’s move to their new London headquarters in the City. The contract will provide services for the 700 employees.
The deployment will give SMBCE long-term cost efficiencies, as the future-proofed communications platform will provide an enhanced level of service for its employees.
SMBCE cited Orange Business Services’ knowledge and experience of Cisco networks as the reasons it won the contract, following a competitive tender.
“As a leading financial services group, expanding our customer base and providing more customer-focused products and services are key objectives for us,” said Gary Biggerstaff of SMBCE. “The LAN provided by Orange Business Services will help us achieve these as a secure, cost-effective network will allow our staff to stay connected at all times.”
“The financial services sector is a fiercely competitive industry that requires constantly evolving communication solutions,” said Andrew McFadzen, general manager for Orange Business Services UK and Ireland. “Orange Business Services is committed to offering customers within this industry a range of services for today’s needs, be it telephony, mobile, messaging, security or network management.”
