Orange Business Services extends services to enable IP transformation for one of Australasia’s largest banking organizations and delivers high level solutions across ANZ’s global operations
Orange Business Services and ANZ have signed a $20 million, three-year contract
extension for the provision of global telecommunication services.
Through the extension, Orange will provide global Wide-Area Network (WAN) connectivity for ANZ employees around the world. Orange is ANZ’s supplier of worldwide telecommunications solutions and will connect the Group’s operations across 30 countries in Asia, Europe, North America and the Pacific.
The new contract will increase global reach for ANZ, and also deliver savings in total cost of ownership, increase the level of technology/service choice and improve commercial flexibility.
ANZ can continue its global Internet Protocol (IP) transformation using Orange Business Services WAN as the basis from which to build integrated data, voice and video applications. The Orange network is the most extensive IP platform with the widest reach in the world.
The expanded relationship with ANZ is a strong example of Orange’s commitment to deliver innovative solutions to best practice companies.
“We are proud that ANZ has extended its contract with Orange Business Services and extremely confident that the partnership will provide them with the flexibility their business needs wherever they are operating around the globe,” Ian McCallum, managing director of Orange Business Service Australasia, said.
“ANZ needs world class and optimised business communications to help us continue to deliver convenient banking services for our customers throughout the world and to support our growth plans, particularly in Asia,” ANZ Chief Technologist of Technology Infrastructure Services Denis McGee said.
“Orange has a proven track record as a committed long-term partner with a flexible and adaptive approach, and a service model consistent with ANZ’s business requirements.”
“Under the new contract, ANZ will have access to a broader portfolio of the latest products, services and resources. We are now able to deploy key initiatives such as class-of-service and application prioritization globally, and can connect all our staff into a single converged global ICT Infrastructure. This gives us commercial business advantage enabling us to expand our market ahead of our competition,” Denis said.
