what's new about project management?
about me

Careful, professional project management is critical to the success of projects across industries no matter how small, large, simple or complex they may be. Virtually all projects use information technology in some shape or form and have a wide-ranging impact on organizations and people. While project management is often treated as a commodity, it is critical to the overall success of the business. This is because it keeps projects on time, within budget and with the expected outcomes, both in terms of functionality and quality.
I’ve worked in IT project and program management for more than 20 years in a number of multinational companies and am currently working in IT Service Management at Orange Business Services. I’m truly passionate about project management and am certified Prince2® and ITIL®. I also hold a PMP® certification and founded PMI France-Sud (Project Management Institute®), where I was president for three years.

Of course, I do not wish or even can list the entirety of the numerous tools which are made available on the market.

The vast majority of the time, you are completely buried in your projects, you hardly have time to reflect between meetings, project reviews, planning sessions, resources prioritizations, urgent reports to finalize and send, not to mention non-project-related tasks that cannibalize your productive work time.

I want my project to be audited!
Does this title sound odd to you? Are you like many PMs trying to escape audits as much as possible? Do you consider them as a waste of time at best and a potential killer in extreme cases?
I did also share these feelings but it does not need to be this way. Audits are very worthwhile, and can be productive and of real benefit to you and your project.
