Aggreko plc, the global leader in providing rental power and temperature control solutions, has expanded its network agreement with Orange Business to provide increased agility and network availability for its fast-moving business. The upgraded network connects staff across locations in Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa.
Aggreko provides temporary power and cooling services to a wide array of industries and to many of the world’s most high profile sporting and cultural events. With a globally mobile workforce and project assets constantly on the move, the company sought an agile solution to rapidly enable its field teams to get online seamlessly. This enables them to support thousands of customers– wherever they are located across the globe.
Aggreko has been an Orange customer for 13 years, and the newly extended six-year partnership upgrades its Business Virtual Private Network to deliver improved network availability and access for employees. Business VPN supports voice, data, video and all critical business applications for Aggreko.
Partnership supports Aggreko’s digital transformation
As part of the partnership, Orange is working together with Aggreko to continually improve its helpdesk, service and project management functions. This includes new governance models to assist with operational escalations and establishing a new board to discuss technological innovations, thereby helping Aggreko to continue its digital transformation journey.
Orange Business was also able to offer an innovative commercial incentive, by helping Aggreko reduce initial operational expenditure and generate immediate first-year cost savings through a flexible payment model and rewards offer.
