Cache management includes two features:
- Forward proxy: to accelerate and secure web browsing,
- Reverse proxy: to secure and reduce the TCO for web-enabled applications.
Only the IP address of the proxy is visible from the Internet, consequently this service allows a session termination point between end-user workstations and Web servers. This ensures a single point of access, a single point of control, end-user privacy management and centralized log management.

The caching feature improves content delivery by off-loading Internet content (forward proxy) and by off-loading content from the back-end servers (reverse proxy). The cache monitors end-users' traffic in order to deliver the requested Web resources as fast as possible, with response time improved by up to 95% for web applications.
