Government Offices of Sweden chooses global communications solution from Orange Business Services

Orange Business Services has been awarded a new contract from the Government
Offices of Sweden to supply global communication infrastructure to the Ministry
for Foreign Affairs and its approximately 100 embassies and consulates around
the world. The four-year contract is valued at 13 million euros. The Government
Offices of Sweden was looking for a single provider for the global communication
requirements of Sweden’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Orange Business Services
was chosen to provide an international IP VPN solution. Key factors in the selection
included global network coverage, high level of security, quality of service,
local support, a competitive service level agreement and cost-effectiveness. “The
Government Offices of Sweden has been a customer with us for the last five years
and winning this new contract in open competition confirms their continued confidence
in our ability to deliver competitive communication services on a global level,”
said John Conlan, general manager of Orange Business Services in the Nordics.
“The communication requirements of Sweden’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs is a
